Getting ready!

It's now exactly one year ago that the last entry was posted on our USA/Canada blog (http://2012usacanada.blogspot.com.au) and we are getting ready to travel again. Not quite the same length or distances though - this time it's just a hop to the east to visit our New Zealand cousins :)

We will do both North and South island and we have three weeks to do it. Not even three weeks, make that 20 days. It's gonna be full on but I hope it's not going to be hectic. That is also why keeping a blog this time around is important - so we can remember the details that otherwise would no doubt be lost when the days just seem to merge together.

What am I looking forward to? Visiting Lord Of The Rings and Hobbit locations and having my breath taken away by the scenery. Practicing my landscape photography skills (wide angle lens is packed and I think I may take my tripod this time too). Driving along through green landscapes and grey rocky valleys. Experiencing nature. Eating good food of course.

The good thing is that the flight is not long compared to the last trip. Only about 7 hours.
We will arrive early in the morning on sunday, so the plan is to pick up our car, then drive into town to pick up supplies and get our phones sorted. By lunchtime we should be on our way to our first destination.

That's the plan...we'll see what happens!
